What is going on, here… exactly?
If you’re here, then you really should already know the basics. But just in case, we’re attempting to launch a 3 day board game retreat. Invite only. Something small and simple, a proof of concept kind of thing. I think I’ve covered all the questions below, but if I missed something reach out to me directly. Thanks!

Where is it located?
We’ll be at the Springhill Suites in Altamonte Springs. We’re taking over the meeting space on the second floor.
When is the event?
The event will run from noon on Friday, November 11th until noon on Sunday, November 13th. The game room will be open 24 hours a day for the duration of the event.
How much is the event?
Tickets are $40 per person. They are non-refundable, but they are transferable.
Can I just go for one day? What if I don’t want to play board games for 48 hours straight??
Absolutely, but the price point is the same. That said, we’d really like to hear from you. Part of our concept is to offer activities for guests who need a break from gaming, but we need to do that in a way that doesn’t interfere with the main focus. The hotel has a pool, hot tub, and other amenities, and we’d love to find an area for hanging out without games. So, please, come! And then let’s talk!
What about food and drinks?
It isn’t included in the ticket price, but outside food and drinks are allowed. Those with rooms at the hotel also get a complimentary breakfast and coffee. Additionally, there are a ton of restaurants in the immediate area. Alcohol should be fine, but kept low key. Just remember to think of the board games when picking your food.
How about the game library?
The library has approximately 250 games. The game library will pull from Elijah and I’s collection, along with a generous donation from Travis and Elizabeth’s library. A few others have said they will donate as well. If you would like to donate, please let me know.

Can I bring a game but not include it in the library?
Absolutely, but you will be solely responsible if anything happens to the game.
How much are hotel rooms?
Rooms are available for $129 per night, plus tax. But you will need to book two nights to get this rate. To book a room call the hotel directly at 407-865-6400 and let them know you are with the Board Game Convention.
How big is the event?
The event is limited to a max of 30 tickets, and is invite only. My preference is to only invite people I know personally, but if you have someone you would like to bring let me know and we’ll talk about it.
Are children allowed?
No. No one under 18 is permitted to attend this retreat.
